Dr. Haas is a Professor and the founding Program Director of the Occupational Therapy Department at Quincy University. With over two decades of experience in higher education and clinical practice, she brings a wealth of expertise to her leadership role. A graduate of Midwestern University’s master’s program and the University of Saint Augustine’s doctoral program in occupational therapy. Dr. Haas has served as a faculty member, program director, and academic fieldwork coordinator. She is an active member of the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education’s Roster of Evaluators and a graduate of the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Academic Leadership Institute. Dr. Haas has received numerous accolades, including the Inspiring Excellence Award, Outstanding Faculty Member Award, and recognition from the Nebraska Occupational Therapy Association. Passionate about community engagement, she has led international service trips and worked locally to address issues such as homelessness, youth in crisis, and access to healthcare. Residing in Omaha, NE, she continues to serve Quincy University’s hybrid OTD program remotely, leveraging her expertise in curriculum and instructional design to inspire the next generation of occupational therapists.
